Sport: Mixed Martial Arts Gimmick: Former MMA Fighter And "World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock was one of the godfathers of Mixed Martial Arts. He was one of the most popular fighters during the early years of UFC, and has even been inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. He had famous feuds with other legends, such as Dan Severn, and Royce Grace. Even though he was popular, a falling out occurred in 1996 and he left the UFC, eventually debuting for the WWE in early 1997. Shamrock was billed as "The World's Most Dangerous Man," and drew from his MMA background. He became known as one of the most volatile wrestlers of that era, and would often "snap," and go crazy during a match, even if it meant his disqualification. Shamrock's career came to a high point in 1998 when he won the King of the Ring Tournament, and then a few months later, won the Intercontinental Title. However, his momentum came to a plateau, and never achieved any higher accolades before his departure in 1999 to return to UFC. If Shamrock had stayed with the WWE, he may very well have become the Heavyweight Champion, and had all the potential to do so, but his passion for MMA pulled him away from the wrestling business.
