The idea of AEW's 'Four Pillars' is to assure fans that the chosen men of Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, MJF, and Sammy Guevara will be integral figures in the company's creative future. All four have had varying degrees of success thus far in their AEW careers, but it is clear the company has high hopes for them all.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman has established himself as the standout of the young crop of talent, challenging for the AEW World Championship and having main event feuds with CM Punk, Jon Moxley, and Cody Rhodes. Meanwhile, Jungle Boy has had the slowest build into being a star as part of the Jurassic Express, in which he became the AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside Luchasaurus.

Whilst there is some concern over MJF's AEW future, the company clearly has high hopes for him and his contemporary Jack Perry as future World Champions. It is quite appropriate that both men had their breakout performance against each other at Double or Nothing 2020. The fight allowed both men to level up in a featured pay-per-view match and they delivered on the opportunity superbly.
