6. The Great Alcoholic Bash
The last RAW before WrestleMania XV took place in Albany, New York’s Pepsi Arena and was the host to one of the Attitude Era’s most famed segments. The Rock was in the ring, portraying the heel Corporate Champ version of his persona. Flanked by Vince and Shane McMahon, The Rock was interrupted by the entrance of his Mania challenger.
Stone Cold arrived in a Coors Light truck to an enormous pop from the crowd. The Rattlesnake climbed atop the roof of his latest giant vehicle and traded words with The Rock for a spell. From there, Austin got down, picked up his beer hose and drenched the 3 with an endless outpouring of beer. The sheer ridiculousness of the segment was enhanced even further by the visual of McMahon attempting to swim in the spray of beer being directed his way.
A wild and chaotic moment of heat building for the first of Rock and Austin’s WrestleMania trilogy, the beer truck remains a favourite of fans 21 years later. Austin would go on to win his 3rd WWF Championship 6 days later with the fans’ universal support.
