10 Best Survivor Series Elimination Matches
5. Team Orton Vs. Team Triple H (Survivor Series 2004)
The Match: Team Orton (Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Maven) vs. Team Triple H (Triple H, Edge, Batista and Gene Snitsky)
If 2005's match cemented Randy Orton's legacy at this PPV, it was the 2004 edition that really made everyone pay attention in the first place, when he emerged as the sole survivor after taking down both Edge and Triple H. Impressive, even if the attempt to make him a top-line babyface didn't really pay off (it's a horrible fit for his natural personality).
This match had a brilliant stipulation, with the winning team getting to act as Raw General Managers for a month (one week per wrestler), which made for an awesome, unpredictable few weeks of TV and is really something that needs to be brought back soon.
A few minus points for Maven and Snitsky being rather haphazardly thrown in the mix, but seeing Maven get damn-near murdered with a chair was probably worth it.
