Animal and Hawk formed one of the most iconic tag teams in the history of professional, whether you knew them as the Road Warriors or the Legion of Doom respectively.

They were arguably the most over team in history, and made speciality tag team wrestling a main event feature. Looking back their WWF runs didn't set the world on fire, but they didn't really need to.

Their finisher was equally as iconic, and every bit as brutal as one would imagine from these two bruisers. Named the Doomsday Device, Animal would lift their opponent into the electric chair position on his shoulders, only for Hawk to come flying off the top rope with a clothesline.

It looked vicious as all hell every single time, and not many managed to kick out of it.

When the discussion over what the greatest tag team finishing move comes up, this invariably tops the list of most people, and for good reason.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
