10 Best Tag Team Title Matches Ever
1. Steve Austin And Triple H Vs. Chris Benoit And Chris Jericho - Raw 5/21/01
The evening after Steve Austin turned heel at WrestleMania X-Seven, he formed a new alliance with Triple H. Dubbed "The Two-Man Power Trip," Austin and HHH made a run for all of the top belts in the company, with HHH capturing the Intercontinental Title and both men beating Undertaker and Kane for the World Tag Team Titles.
They ran roughshod over the company until two unlikely underdogs stood up to them - Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit, who had spent the better part of the last year feuding. The evening after Judgment Day 2001, Benoit and Jericho got their shot, and the result was incredible.
Despite airing on a TV show and not Pay-Per-View, the match still managed to achieve classic status. In front of a red-hot crowd, all four men went at it, using the rules more as suggestions than anything else. Toward the closing moments, Triple H broke up the Walls of Jericho on Steve Austin, tearing his own quadriceps in the process. Jericho proceeded to put HHH in the hold on the announcers' table while Benoit fought Austin.
Jericho rejoined his partner, but HHH wasn't far behind. He tried to take Jericho out with a sledgehammer, but Y2J moved and Austin got hit. Benoit then took down Triple H, allowing Jericho to pick up the incredible win.
