Seeing Eric Bischoff and Stephanie McMahon feuding in 2002 made for entertaining television, and competing GM narratives went on to become a feature of the brand split era. It should be fun once again, with Stephanie expected to compete with Shane McMahon this summer, with each of them taking a brand on.

It makes for a more interesting show than having just a singular WWE. Arguably the most fecund period in wrestling history was when Bischoff and McMahon were going at it in the '90s, and competing GMs can hope to replicate that dynamic to a small degree.

It was exciting to see Raw and Smackdown battling over signing wrestlers, and hopefully that happens again in the coming months. Expect to see Shane as Smackdown GM, and Stephanie as Raw GM.
