10 Best Things That Ever Happened During Wrestling Commercial Breaks

Kudos to WhatCulture's own Andrew Pollard here for a live report half a decade after the show aired but more relevant to this list than any episode of SmackDown was to popular culture in 2015.

Lots of people remember the 2016 SmackDown Live reboot with the fondness it deserves, but few speak about the absolute state of it for years before then. WWE played a super smart game with the blue brand here, making it appealing enough to land a record-breaking deal at the rights fee table in 2018.

The recap era would never.

Such was the case at Manchester's November 12th 2015 taping right as WWE got all of a flutter for The Undertaker's 25th Anniversary with the organisation. In a spot saved only for the live crowd that was subsequently swallowed up by commercials on the American airing, 'The Deadman' battered Wade Barrett following the Boom-merchant's battle with Neville. Of course the local lad took the pasting, but at least the Hall Of Famer finally got some comeuppance for that odd Nexus/Kane alliance years earlier, eh?
