@WWECreative_ish would have contented themselves ripping poor Rusev apart, but they saved their harshest comment for John Cena and Nikki Bella. Nikki's extensive Divas Championship reign has long been contested by fans as a result of her relationship with Cena - an especially sore point given the number of internet darlings waiting patiently below her in the pecking order. Paige, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and current NXT Women's Champion Bayley have all impressed with their skills in recent times, arguably achieving more of a connection with the fans than Nikki has done in her entire career. In fairness to the Divas Champion, she does a pretty great job of playing the obnoxious heel, but her actual wrestling ability has never been thought too highly of. This tweet also brings the inconsistent mindset of the WWE to the fore. John Cena is constantly portrayed as a squeaky-clean hero, one who always stands up for what is right - yet he's very publicly dating the most dastardly diva in the entire women's division, as the company are keen to emphasise on Total Divas. It's a duality that makes no sense - and one the internet will continue to ridicule as long as Nikki is the Divas Champion.
