10 Best Things The Internet Has Done With WWE Raw (Feb 29)
8. A Brave Redditor Breaks Down Kevin Dunn
As you can tell from the gif above, WWE head of production Kevin Dunn loves camera zooms and cuts. JLHess is a far braver person than you or I, because they decided to watch back the main event of last night's Raw and tally all the camera cuts - every single one - all in the name of demonstrating why Dunn's directorial style sucks. For the record, JLHess counted 161 cuts in a main event lasting 9:06. That averages out to one cut every 3.3 seconds, which anybody with a basic grasp of film will explain is far too frequent for a wrestling show. It disrupts the action, making everything seem overly chaotic, and reduces the impact of certain spots. Unless Dunn really wants to make Raw look like a Bourne film, he really needs to tone down this sort of thing.
