10 Best Things The Internet Has Done With WWE Raw (May 2)
2. Comparing 2002 SmackDown With 2016 Raw
MickIAC wins the award for the most depressing Reddit thread of the night, as he unwisely decided to compare 2002-era SmackDown with modern day Raw. The results were, of course, terribly upsetting:
'The cameras jumping to backstage promos to continue the story (I'm watching one where Undertaker and Lesnar are having a feud and it would jump to Undertaker getting his hand wrapped up in a cast). The matches seem a lot freer in a way that you don't know the next move coming up and wrestlers are on TV less wrestler and advance the storyline showing backstage promos.
Nothing seems that scripted, nothing seems forced and the viewing is compelling. The current product isn't the worst it has been, but I just feel a bit gutted that things seem so simplistic nowadays.'
Thanks for that, Mick. I'm off to lock myself away and watch the WWE Network forever...
