10 Best Things The Internet Has Done With WWE SummerSlam 2015

Thank you internet!

WWE.com It should come as no surprise that the internet is already awash with various memes, gags, and humorous tweets regarding SummerSlam. The event was a goldmine for comedy (intentional or otherwise), and also sparked major discussion regarding the finishes of its two biggest matches. The involvement of Jon Stewart was always going to pique mainstream attention slightly more than the average WWE pay per view, as was the huge marquee main event of the Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar. The show itself divided opinion - several wrestlers turned in great in-ring performances, but the booking frustrated many - creating the perfect storm for all manner of online shenanigans. Here are the ten best things the internet has already done with SummerSlam 2015.

10. Your Beloved Money In The Bank Holder, Everybody

Since returning as a heel, the Irishman hasn't exactly captured the imagination of WWE fans, and is fast becoming one of the blandest members of the roster. This hasn't entirely been Sheamus' own fault, as he's been subjected to a long run of unimaginative booking. Winning the Money In The Bank briefcase hasn't done much to change this, and has baffled many fans who can't currently picture him as WWE Champion at all. @WWECreative_ish summed up this frustration nicely, as they do with just about any questionable WWE booking decision. In fairness to the writers, Sheamus did beat Orton clean, which will hopefully signal the start of a much-needed improvement.
