Though Vince McMahon rather callously blew the move off as "public relations" alone, WWE's decision to offer drug rehabilitation to ex-stars was a rare case of the company tacitly acknowledging the emotional strains a life committed to the cause puts on so many of the talents.
It seems only natural that a physical equivalent should be next.
There are those dead or disabled by professional wrestling, and others that got out just in time before finding the same fate themselves. Tables, Ladders and Chairs daredevils Edge and Christian were both done in by lingering neck and head issues respectively, but they were fortunate enough to make and save a small fortune.
