10 Best TV Wrestling Matches Ever

5. Undisputed Era Vs. Moustache Mountain - NXT, July 8, 2018

An all-action start with lashings of personality, this was a great TV match before it transcended itself.

Moustache Mountain won the crowd over with their great tandem offence early. In a very inspired spot that would define the heart of the match, Tyler Bate used his supernatural strength to assist the larger Bate into a senton. It was clear from the off - through fantastic wrestling - who the strong link of the team was. In a brave storytelling move, the less exciting performer carried the thread of the match.

Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong isolated the weaker partner and, convincingly and thrillingly, set about destroying his knee with rapid, heart-in-mouth strikes and agonising-looking submissions.

Trent Seven commanded an atmosphere not unlike that of the hush that descended on Full Sail in the very real wake of Tegan Nox's career-threatening knee injury just a month later. This was all in the immersive, unbearably dramatic fiction of the match; Seven's incredible sell-job transformed one of pro wrestling's most performative and knowing crowds into the most earnest and worked through a mastery of the spaces between the moves.

New school content, timeless story beat, this was a Best Of tag team wrestling.
