10 Best WCW PPVs Ever

3. Superbrawl II

February 29th 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin saw the second SuperBrawl card deliver one of WCW€™s best ever cruiserweight matches, before the term was officially being used. Flyin€™ Brian (yes, him again) defeated Jushin Thunder Liger for the light heavyweight championship in an electrifying seventeen minutes. We€™d go so far as to say that this one match was worth paying for on its own. Fortunately, that wouldn€™t be necessary. Ron Simmons versus Cactus Jack was a good match until the former All-American picked up the win€ then it became great when the fearsome Abdullah the Butcher came out to join Cactus in a vicious beatdown. The gruesome twosome were only run off when Junkyard Dog made the save. Barry Windham teamed up with Dustin Rhodes to defeat Steve Austin and Larry Zybyszko in an amazing tag team match which Arn Anderson and €˜Beautiful€™ Bobby Eaton versus the Steiner brothers actually managed to top with their classic bout immediately afterwards, Anderson and Eaton (Eaterson?) retaining the world tag titles. Rick Rude retained the US title against Ricky Steamboat in a red hot match underneath the main event, with the future Paul Heyman assisting the heel victory€ sadly, Sting and Lex Luger couldn€™t come close to it, Sting capturing the world heavyweight title in thirteen minutes in Luger€™s last match for WCW until 1995.
