This weekend wasn't the first time Asuka and Ember Moon have locked horns, of course. The whole reason we had such high expectations going into Brooklyn was because we already saw them tear the house down in Orlando not five months earlier.

The original probably wasn't as good as the sequel, if we're honest (which is probably one of just a handful of times that sentence has been used in history), but it was one of the early candidates for match of the year.

Asuka had finally found someone who could match her pound for pound, and for a little while it looked like Ember had her number. In fact, the champion had to resort to pushing the referee in the match's decisive sequence. A classic shady finish, but nothing that detracts from the quality.
