Instead of airing one promo chronicling the rivalry between the pair, the powers that be cleverly decided to put on two separate packages that put over both men. Something that was needed due to the way they were viewed in the eyes of the WWE Universe at the time. Heading into Mania 27 many doubted the credentials of The Miz as a bonafide WWE Champion and the company tapped into that fact in their promo for the awesome one. In the process, they only added to his 'heelishness' and actually made him look like a main event star.
