Given the fact that they'd have umpteen scuffles before the Mania 20 meeting, WWE did well to keep interest in the bout high. Although saying that, they'd have struggled not to given the fact Taker was returning with the deadman gimmick after almost four years as the biker. The spots that WWE's creative team came up with in the build up to The Phenom's return were nothing short of exceptional and provided some of the mystical side of the character that couldn't be used while he was a 'normal' civilian. Nevertheless, the music, the editing and the fine performance by The Big Red Machine throughout the build saw this match take it's place as arguably the most hyped match in Mania history. Fine job.
