10 Best Wrestling Face Paints Ever

4. Goldust

Whether it is the simple gold and white of his first run or the more complex black-heavy look of the modern age, Goldust deserves to sit high up on any face paint list through sheer longevity. Face paint in 2016 is rare, outside of special occasions and demons. Goldust has managed to make an entire career out of a character that comes with its face painted, throughout eras, and this in itself is impressive.

Even so, Goldust in 2016 would rank high on this list without the history behind it. His modern look manages to look sultry, enticing, and violent all at the same time, accentuating how very weird Goldust is all the while. It is intimidating, but it also somehow brings you in somewhat. It's what I imaginethe inhabitants of Pan's Labyrinth look like.

Goldust shows us that face paint can still be consistent in the modern age. Good work, Goldie.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
