Who else could it be? Ricky Morton may get more press for his ability to sell a beating like no other, to the point where those who predominantly do so today are often referred to as the 'Ricky Morton'.

Morton was an expert in building to a moment, but if the man who is supposed to capitalise on that moment can't bring the fire then it is all for nought.

Robert Gibson brought the fire, to say the least. It was a different time, of course, but the crowd reactions that this situation brought night after night after night defined the art of the hot tag. There's a reason why most celebrated veterans of the sport (Steve Austin and Jim Ross among others) point to the Rock 'n Roll Express as being the masters of the hot tag.

Tag team wrestling has covered so much ground in pro wrestling history that plenty of other names could be considered worthy of the list.

Whether it was guys that worked in the tag ranks a lot such as Shawn Michaels, Bubba Dudley and Edge or even the singles guys who occasionally competed in tags like Hulk Hogan, The Rock or Austin himself, the hot tag has been around for a long time and has always worked.

Here's to a long future of house cleaning.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
