2. NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14
Ready for more New Japan? You got it.
WWE were never going to match Wrestle Kingdom when they announced that WrestleMania 36 would take place across multiple nights in April. NJPW beat them to the punch in January by producing back-to-back days of quite exhilarating pro wrestling action.
They had the marquee stars like Jon Moxley (who delivered the goods against Lance Archer on night one and Juice Robinson 24 hours later) and Chris Jericho (his match with Hiroshi Tanahashi is worth your time) to lure in casuals, but it was the core Japanese lot who shone brightest of all.
Kota Ibushi looked incredible during night one's IWGP Title headliner against the peerless Kazuchika Okada, and the same could be said of Tetsuya Naito opposite Jay White in the Intercontinental slot. On night two, Ibushi and White took their frustrations out on one another in an eye-watering 'Loser's Bracket' match, and Naito sparkled vs. the ridiculously-prolific Okada.
Nobody was a loser in January.
