8. "The Dream Has No Memory Of That"

A first strike in a two-pronged attack to effortlessly establish Ricochet as a big f*cking deal on the developmental brand, his rivalry with the incendiary Velveteen Dream was a grand stage for the 'One And Only' to step to. In one of the best visuals of the year, he didn't just step to it - he somersault plancha'd there.

The jaw-dropping and boy-popping approach stopped the typically verbose Dream in his tracks. It was a first for the ostentatious future star and the NXT fanbase alike. Full Sail University had entered rarified air, and Ricochet - as is his wont - flew through it.

Unsurprisingly, the TakeOver: Chicago 2 encounter was one of Dream's best. The former Tough Enough star worked up to the immense skill of his foe as has done repeatedly during these scintillating formative years. The 23-year-old had to - by talking down the incredible feats Ricochet was capable of before he gave him a front row seat for one, Dream required confidence and cockiness beyond his regular purple haze to get on his level.

Surely nobody else on the NXT roster could now dare suggest the dazzling aerielist wasn't the real deal...
