10 Best Wrestling Tag Teams Of 2018

2. The Undisputed Era

Adam Cole's masterful crew have lit up NXT this year, particularly following the brilliantly simplistic inclusion of fourth man Roderick Strong.

Turning on Pete Dunne to secure their Tag Team Championships and The Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic trophy at TakeOver: New Orleans, Strong was a natural fit alongside his old allies, and helped sustain the group's momentum following the injury suffered by Bobby Fish a month earlier. Match quality was already soaring before the swap, but entered a new galaxy over the summer.

Aforementioned clashes with Moustache Mountain were phenomenal, as was a blinding one-off TakeOver: Chicago 2 clash with Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. The lads stirred up sh*t all year on the weekly show too - even when NXT became a rather trying watch, Undisputed Era tried and usually succeeded in making it all worth investing in.

Though it wasn't to your writer's taste, War Games 2 was beloved in many circles, and the spine of the team again can be credited for keeping an at-times-logistically-uneven contest on track.

Undisputed Era are still a gang built to serve a leader that points only to himself during their group entrance, but here's hoping they eventually leave NXT together, rather than abandoning their amazing jock entourage aesthetic.
