10 Best Wrestling Titles Ever

1. "Winged Eagle" WWF Title

Say the words "winged" and "eagle" in consecutive order in front of a group of wrestling fans, and it's likely at least one will know it's in reference to the WWF Title belt design which ran between 1988-1998. In the decade it was active, the title was held by everyone from Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior, to Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, but it isn't only the wrestlers who held it which help make it so beloved, it's also the composition itself which ensures this belt's legacy. Many wrestling fans consider this the benchmark on which all other wrestling titles are judged, a point that's hard to argue, there's just something so alluring about the belt. The classic, black leather is perfect for what sits on top - two sideplates on either side frame a faceplate so classic it screams World Wrestling Federation. Wrestling enthusiasts over a certain age have this belt burned into their retinas, and it does a tremendous job of harking back to a bygone era. The gold is crisp and majestic, standing out on top of the black, and the little flashes of blue which make up the globe in the middle only further adds to what is surely one of the best-designed belts in pro wrestling history. Reggie Parks really hit a home run with this belt, one which certainly must make him proud when he hears wrestling fans still talking about it over 20 years on. WWE have moved on significantly since the belt was last aired, but a plethora of fans would love to see the title make a comeback, feeling it's the archetypical WWE World Heavyweight Title. What other belt designs do you just love? Are there any not on this list which you feel should be? Let us know down in the comments section below!
