The Daily Show was a regular middle finger to ineffective, corrupt government, and Stewart had a no holds barred approach to humor that his fans loved. So perhaps its no coincidence that Stewart is a massive fan of WWE. In the lead-up to SummerSlam, Seth Rollins and Jon Stewart would appear on each others shows to hype their burgeoning rivalry. It not only allowed the WWE to reach a mainstream audience, but it also concealed the infamous swerve at SummerSlam, which saw Stewart take out Cena, rather than Rollins, with a hard chair shot. Rollins' appearance on the Daily Show in February of this year is well worth checking out.
