10 Best WWE DVD Documentaries

7. Heartbreak And Triumph: The Shawn Michaels Story

For a DVD released well before his career even came to a close, WWE hit one out of the park with "Heartbreak and Triumph." It's been well documented that Shawn Michaels has had a rollercoaster career full of controversy and highlight reel moments. After a successful book in 2006 in which covered his career, the WWE decided a year later to attack a new form of media with the Shawn Michaels story, and the Heartbreak & Triumph DVD was released. While it doesn't include his incredible set of WrestleMania matches with the Undertaker or his final DX run, Michaels had an outstanding 20-plus year career even before that, and perhaps a more interesting life outside the ring. Battling addiction, as well as his own ego. Some of that ego still shines through, but instead appears in the form of a man who had his confidence restored after having his career taken from him for nearly five years. It's not often that a piece on a superstar can feel complete even before his career is over, but "Heartbreak and Triumph" is an exception.
