10 Best WWE Matches Of 2018 (So Far)

8. The Miz Vs. Seth Rollins (Backlash)

Currently in the midst of perhaps the best in-ring year of his WWE career, Seth Rollins has comfortably been the company's most impressive main roster male wrestler. His weekly TV bangers highlight every episode of Raw, and while he's no longer Intercontinental Champion, 'The Kingslayer's' great work with the belt re-established him as one of WWE's hottest babyfaces after a spell playing Roman Reigns' sidekick in the Shield reunion storyline.

An incredible showing in Raw's gauntlet match aside, this is his finest hour. Rollins and Miz stole the show on a pay-per-view that'll likely go down as the year's most disappointing, hooking the crowd with one of 2018's strongest face/heel dynamics, highlighted by some impeccable limb work from 'The A-Lister.'

Miz went after Rollins' leg relentlessly, and 'The Architect' sold it like it was about to fall off. This would be a recurring theme throughout the rest of his title run, but he toughed it out, surviving two Skull Crushing Finales en route to a 20-minute victory. His comebacks were excellently timed, despite the finisher spam, and he'll do well to outdo this clash on his 'Wrestler Of The Year' quest.
