10 Best WWE Matches Of 2018 (So Far)

6. Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan Vs. Undisputed Era (TakeOver: Chicago)

Though NXT's tag division has declined since the days of DIY, American Alpha, and The Revival, four men proved that no scene is ever more than one great match away from redemption on the yellow and black brand.

The crowd dynamic started wonky. Chicago loved Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole, and chose to boo Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan as a result. This could've been alleviated had the wrestlers switched roles mid-match, but it didn't matter in the end, as the follicly-challenged duo had the audience off their seats by the end.

Wrestled at a similar breakneck pace to last year's Chicago opener (Pete Dunne vs. Tyler Bate), it was a frantic dash for the gold, with the challengers particularly impressive, proving themselves among the most underrated wrestlers in the company. Both where gutsy, fired-up, and full of spirit, but Oney's suicidal edge took things to the next level, throwing himself around the ring like a lunatic in the name of glorious, glorious violence.

Lorcan's mayhem provided the biggest highlights, but it wasn't enough to win the belts. It'd be tragic if him and Burch were now shuffled down the pack. They're every bit as talented as their more celebrated opponents, and deserve more moments in the sun.
