6. NXT Women's Championship Tournament Finals: Natalya vs. Charlotte - NXT Takeover
The only third-generation Diva in WWE history, there was no denying Natalya's in-ring abilities ahead of NXT's Takeover special. The best in-ring tactician on the Divas roster, she had proven herself time and time again when given the opportunity to have a match lasting longer than three minutes. Her opponent in the finals of the NXT Women's Championship Tournament, on the other hand, was not proven. Despite showing fine athleticism and some flashes of brilliance, Charlotte had yet to prove that she was anything more than the daughter of the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_2TMPY0_PU That all changed when, for over 16 minutes, the legacy Divas wrestled an outstanding match that featured extraordinary counter and submission wrestling. With Hall of Famers Flair and Bret "Hitman" Hart watching from ringside, the women delivered a match that their loved ones could be proud of. In the end, despite both working in trademark submission holds such as the Figure Four leg lock and the Sharpshooter, it was Charlotte's Natural Selection facebuster variation that secured her the pinfall victory. The tearful Divas embraced in the center of the ring, all the while soaking in the admiration of an NXT Universe that appreciated their hard work and celebrated the immensely talented performers they had the privilege and honor of watching. Though at the time implausible, Charlotte would somehow manage to turn in a performance that both matched and even eclipsed her breakout showing.
