10 Best WWE Pay-Per-Views Of The Past Decade

2. Royal Rumble 2018

The earthquake caused by Ronda Rousey's show-closing arrival at the conclusion of the pay-per-view and first ever Women's Royal Rumble was just one of the moments that shook the audience to the core following a spectacularly-booked supercard.

Earlier in the night, Shinsuke Nakamura had survived the collected onslaughts of John Cena, Roman Reigns and the WWE writers in clawing his way to Royal Rumble glory in a battle royal that also made great use of Finn Bálor, Rusev and even Heath Slater. In fact, virtually nobody in the match was wasted, as they weren't in the well-paced and furnished Women's equivalent later in the show.

Playing smartly on the historic occasion, the match was flooded with several nostalgic reminders of divisions gone by before Asuka took her rightful place atop the pile with the match-winning elimination of Nikki Bella.

The undercard - as with most Rumbles - wasn't the hottest since records began, but any fans complaining about having to watch the likes of AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman perform in between the main events would probably be best served finding another hobby.
