10 Best WWE Pay-Per-Views Of The Past Decade
1. WrestleMania 30
Despite Raw 25 working overtime to prove otherwise, WWE celebrations are rarely flubbed - particularly in the case of the 'Showcase Of The Immortals'.
WrestleMania 30 didn't have the Madison Square Garden aesthetic of the prior multiples, but the beautiful New Orleans Superdome was an adequate and well-stuffed replacement for one of the greatest stories WWE never told.
Daniel Bryan's coronation as WWE's top guy wasn't once on the board for the 'Show Of Shows' until infuriated fan sentiment effectively insisted it be so. His cathartic pinfall victory over Triple H opened and stole the show, setting the stage for his glorious triumph against company poster boys Batista and Randy Orton in the main event.
Bryan's ascension couldn't have come under more challenging circumstances, and proved its worth as 75,167 in attendance rebounded from their collective devastation at Brock Lesnar's cruel streak-ending win over The Undertaker. The enormous audience shared shock, silence and an audible gasp as a three-count turned into a 21-1 graphic the wrestling world often assumed impossible.
They were both powerful endings. Bryan's win unexpectedly represented his peak, whilst 'The Deadman's loss masked an incoming decline. The event's first-time on-camera meeting between Mount Rushmore inhabitants Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and The Rock at the top of the show complemented the history later to unfold.
