10 Best WWE PPV Moments Of 2018 (So Far)
9. Braun Strowman Winning MITB
Although Braun Strowman's Greatest Royal Rumble win was pretty much forgotten the week after it happened, the victory did prepare Braun nicely for Money In The Bank glory two months later.
Much of the build towards the men's MITB match revolved around the idea that everyone else might gang up on the monster, and announcers also questioned whether or not he could balance atop a ladder long enough to pull down the briefcase. Braun did, and he guaranteed himself a World Title as soon as he hauled the thing down.
The belief is that Strowman may now be the one to end Brock Lesnar's record-setting Universal Title run, possibly as early as SummerSlam in August. If that happens, then Braun will be a made man in WWE and finely poised to rule the roost on Raw for the remainder of the year.
Money In The Bank wins should be impactful, and they should go to those who are over enough to make the briefcase gimmick work. WWE obviously learned a painful lesson after the Baron Corbin debacle last year. Braun, compared to Corbin, is money.
