It's hard to believe that four years have passed since the NXT Season 1 rookies banded together and invaded WWE's main roster. It was such a huge moment, one that had such an incredible impact on the company. It was also one of the most shocking. John Cena was the man in the middle of the ring on June 7 2010 when the group that came to be known as The Nexus came in from all sides. Led by Wade Barrett, The Nexus assaulted Cena, CM Punk, Luke Gallows, Jerry Lawler, Matt Striker and anyone that got in their way at ringside. They destroyed equipment, wrecked the ring and and basically trashed everything in sight. As proof of the absolute shock value the moment held, the crowd was all but silent as the attacks took place. And when it was over, it was as if an entire arena full of people had stopped at the scene of a fatal accident. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVVtqoqzgNw When Raw went off the air that night, fans were left not only speechless but clueless as well. It was a very surreal ending, one that had so many questions with no apparent answers. It was the kind of cliffhanger that keeps the WWE faithful tuning in for more, one that provides so much drama for the following program. The Nexus attack stands out as one of the most talked about, one of the most infamous moments in Raw history. The impact they had that night has never been matched in terms of shock and brutality on Raw. The Nexus was the right heel group at the right time and they provided one of the greatest Raw endings in WWE history.
