4. Bret Hart Gets Even

Daniel Bryan Was Triumphant At WrestleMania XXX

OK, so - if we're being totally honest - Bret Hart, in real life, didn't ever really get even with Vince McMahon, unless liberating a large amount of money from his clutches in the shape of appearance fees counts as getting even.

In kayfabe terms, though, there have been few more cathartic moments than that of the Hitman, as part of his first WWE run for more than a decade, beating the chairman of the board in the climax of wrestling's most slow-burning storyline on the 'Grandest Stage of Them All'.

Granted, the match itself - coming when both parties were well past their respective primes - wasn't exactly a technical masterclass, and to most fans happened about a decade too late to be considered a true classic.

But the moment was something special all the same, and even if Bret is never truly able to forget the time that he was humiliated on his own stomping ground in '97, he at least mended his bridges with his ex-employers in time for a WrestleMania send-off.
