10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Final Fours
1. 2007 (The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Edge)
The 2007 Royal Rumble finished with easily the best final two sequence in Rumble history, but it took a blistering final four group to take it there.
Before The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels could rip in to their epic battle for ultimate supremacy, a sneak peek of their famous WrestleMania series to come, the two icons had to claim their territory by ousting Rated-RKO. With Randy Orton and Edge threatening to turn on each other, Orton blasted ‘Taker with a vicious chair shot to the head. However, they could not overcome their more tenured adversaries, with Undertaker and HBK outclassing their younger foes, setting up a legendary fight to the death.
The sit up from ‘Taker, followed by the kick up from Shawn. A whole new generation would become privileged to experience the magic only capable of these two perfect rivals – nine years on from their most recent battle in 1998.
Ten minutes of back and forth excitement, packed to the rafters with teased eliminations, finishing maneuvers and spectacular spots in between. Either Shawn or The Deadman could have come out on top, and the world would have applauded nonetheless.
Ultimately it was ‘Taker’s night, overpowering HBK to headline WrestleMania in a poetic foretelling of three years later, when Michaels would make it his mission to do the same just to face The Undertaker one final time.
