10 Best WWE Segments Of 2017 (So Far)

8. Fashion Files (Various)

The Breezango act always had potential. Only now is it reaching it.

It is a complete, transparent Zoolander knockoff. It shouldn't work on that basis alone. But Fandango in particular adds enough of his trademark sleaze to the Fashion Files vignettes to make them work. That, the bizarre non-sequiturs ("Sweet Richard Simmons - what is this?) and the cheap-but-effective insider references (the words "Blue Steel" captioned an image of the old blue-barred steel cage this week) transform a derivative one-note joke into something of substance.

You could argue that it is an indictment of the SmackDown brand that an undercard jobber tandem routinely steals the show away from a market research experiment of a WWE Champion - and while that may be true, the creative input of Breeze and Fandango is evident (their turns on Southpaw Regional Wrestling were similarly, idiosyncratically brilliant).

Daniel Bryan has bemoaned WWE's inability to get their stars over in recent years, singling out the Fashion Police as something he (read: Ryan Ward and Road Dogg) are on the right path with.

Even if this is not the start of something - and let's face it, this is hardly the stuff that main event runs are made of - it's rewarding to see two talented, overlooked guys get themselves over.
