Following the previous entry is another pairing of a universally-respected veteran and a rookie who would go on to make it big. Ric Flair and Batista aligned with Raw's top heel Triple H in 2003 to form, along with Randy Orton, Evolution. Flair, one of the most renowned wrestling acts in history, chose to help nurture three superstars hoping to become wrestling royalty like himself.

In Evolution's conquest for gold, Flair and Batista won the World Tag Team Championships at Armageddon. Like Hogan and Edge, this Championship team is far more impressive in retrospect. Sure everyone could see that Evolution's henchman had a unique look and a formidable physique, but Batista was pretty old to be coming into the business. His success as a top level superstar was far from a guarantee.

Alas, Batista would not only become one of the PG era's most reliable draws, but also transcended the wrestling business entirely with his acting career. It's tough to compare both men's accomplishments given they existed in vastly different eras of the industry, but for that brief winter of 2003, Flair and Batista were equals. Just two men with one goal: seeking tag team glory.
