10 Best WWE Stars Under 30

9. Cedric Alexander (27)

In one of 2016’s best feel-good moments in wrestling, Cedric Alexander and Kota Ibushi put on one of the greatest matches of the year in the Cruiserweight Classic, and it seemed to have directly lead to Alexander’s signing. If he’s able to develop that kind of connection with the crowd in future outings, then he’ll be a star in no time.

So far he hasn’t been overly impressive on Raw, but that’s more due to the Cruiserweights not getting featured in a very effective way. 205 Live may give him more of an opportunity to shine...once the Alicia Fox nonsense ends of course.

In Ring of Honor Alexander seemed like he was poised to become one of the company’s top stars, but they always held back on pushing him to that next level. Now that he’s in better shape than ever and found himself a new new home, he may yet become a big star.

Working against him at the moment is that he’s not an overly exciting promo guy, though he's far from bad. He just may not be as flashy on the mic as Vince McMahon looks for in a top talent. Since he’s only 27, though, there’s plenty of time for him to develop into a compelling character.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
