In the broadest sense, Wrestlemania truly is the greatest of them all when it comes to wrestling events. The Showcase of the Immortals is often just that €“ the place where legends are made and legacies are cemented. But to be fair to the Grandest Stage of Them All, the WWE€™s Summerslam PPV has also seen its fair share of magical, memorable moments over the decades. Since its inception in 1988, Summerslam has produced some fantastic and unforgettable matches and memories, and it€™s also notable for some of the more unique and defining gimmick matches that the WWE has ever seen. Whether it€™s in a cage, involving a ladder, with a special referee in the mix, or a straight up war where carnage is the order of the day, Summerslam has seen it all.
