10 Best WWE SummerSlam Main Events Ever - According To Dave Meltzer

9. SummerSlam 2015 - The Undertaker Vs Brock Lesnar (****)

Daniel Bryan John Cena
WWE Network

Just over a year earlier, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker contested a match that resulted in one of the biggest shocks in company history, but the 25 minutes and nine seconds that preceded Lesnar's unthinkable pinfall victory over 'The Deadman' left something of a sour aftertaste to the historic ending of Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak.

Prior to their renewed hostilities, 'Taker had only resurfaced once since the loss - in tepid and needless victory over Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31, the same night Brock Lesnar would lose the WWE Title against Seth Rollins without even being pinned. Coincidentally, it would Lesnar's July rematch where he'd chase redemption.

Appearing from nowhere to down Brock with a low blow, chokeslam and two Tombstones, Undertaker exhibited an unseen desperation, which carried over to the pair's exceptional pull-apart brawl on Raw the next night and SummerSlam 2015 clash.

Atoning for their WrestleMania disappointment, the two went at it with gusto, brawling from the bell and smashing each other with finishers midway through the match that only scored two. Lesnar's kickout drew the bout's most iconic moment. Calling back to his domineering victory over John Cena one year earlier, Lesnar sat up with an incredulous chuckle, only to be met by Undertaker maniacally laughing in his face.

A poorly executed finish saw Undertaker sneak victory after Brock was distracted by the timekeeper's inadvertent read of the referee's count, but the dramatic conclusion would at least justify their exlposive final battle at October's Hell In A Cell.
