10 Best WWE SummerSlam Main Events Ever

9. Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H (2012)

When Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE in 2012, he instantly became the most must-see attraction in the entire company. After 'The Beast' had faced John Cena at Extreme Rules, attention started to turn towards exactly whom creative would have lined up for him next. That man would end up being Triple H, and the duo were tasked with closing out the 2012 edition of SummerSlam. In truth, the rest of the SummerSlam card wasn't really up to scratch. CM Punk met both John Cena and The Big Show in a fairly average Triple Threat encounter for the WWE Championship, whilst Sheamus defended his World Heavyweight Title against Alberto Del Rio in the mid card. Neither match deserved to go on last ahead of Lesnar vs. Triple H, which proved to be a show-saving bout. One of the absolute best aspects of Brock Lesnar's performances since he has returned to pro wrestling has been his visceral approach. Lesnar's matches contrast heavily with those of his peers, because they really seem to be physical wars that are both believable and exciting. That was certainly the case against Triple H, who agreed to take quite the beating in order to ramp up the thrill factor.
