6. Enzo & Cass

Ok, so maybe their singles runs didn't go so well and maybe one of these guys is a bit problematic, but you can't deny they weren't over as hell.

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady were one of the most popular tag team acts in NXT from 2013 to 2016. Enzo was a trash-talking catchphrase conveyor belt, whilst Big Cass had one of the best hot tags in the industry.

The pair were so popular that they didn't need championships, connecting with the crowd their promos and well-structured matches. Their main roster debut was eagerly awaited and it came the night after WrestleMania 32, when they interrupted none other than The Dudley Boyz.

Whilst they would still go without gold on the main roster, the pair would challenge for the titles numerous times, have a big match at WrestleMania 33, and even teamed with John Cena to take on The Club at Battleground 2016.

Sadly, things fell apart when the team inexplicably split up in 2017. Both would eventually be fired from WWE under distressing circumstances and a dark cloud still hangs over both of their names in the wrestling business.

Despite all the controversy, Enzo and Cass were, at one time, the most popular act in WWE. And you can't teach that.
