The name John Cena conjures up images of poorly-executed submission holds, cartoon-like catchphrases and superhero-like comebacks. In fairness, the modern-day Cena does subscribe to a lot of these complaints, but that doesn't mean the man isn't capable of producing excellent matches. Throughout his career, Cena has shone against everyone from Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle, to Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. His record really does speak for itself. Of course, there will always be those folks who cry out that those stars are all huge names and great workers. Therefore, Cena had an easier ride, theoretically at least. As an argument against that, people need only look back at his much-better-than-expected matches against The Great Khali, or his hard-hitting brawl opposite Umaga from the 2007 Royal Rumble for proof that the guy can go when he wants/needs to. That particular 'Last Man Standing' collision was one of the finest in Umaga's career. It also stands out as one of the most intense matches John Cena has ever featured in, taking place before he was restricted by the kid-friendly PG rating. There will be those fans who haven't seen this match, and that should be rectified as soon as possible. It's 23 minutes of awesome brawling, has a hot crowd and a novel finish. One of Cena's finest hours.
