10 Best WWE WrestleMania Matches Fought Between Part-Timers

8. Shane McMahon Vs. The Undertaker (WrestleMania 32)

When Shane O'Mac returned in 2016 to rapturous reactions from the crowd, everyone was excited to see who his WrestleMania opponent would be. Would he be putting over a new star? Would it be another epic against his father?

Nope! Instead, they gave him one of the marquee matches on the card, facing The Undertaker, of all people!

Storyline-wise, this match made no sense. They may have tried to raise the stakes by having Shane gain control of RAW had he won, whilst also preventing The Undertaker from competing at WrestleMania had he lost, but all it did was decrease any confusion over who would be winning the match. If they wanted the outcome to be surprising, this was certainly not the way to go.

That being said, it was a far better match than anyone expected. Highlighting Shane's breakneck selling (and those punches) while also making him seem like a credible threat to The Undertaker (something few fans would have anticipated), it entertained the crowd and was put in the right place on the card.

It featured a nice cell spot (before it was overused) and was a great warm-up to the main event (not that the sh*tshow needed one).
