Some fans will no doubt be spitting blood at the idea of Roman Reigns being ranked fifth on this feature, but think about his matches this year. The Fastlane effort with Daniel Bryan, the Mania 31 main event with Lesnar, the last man standing with Big Show. All those matches achieved 4 stars with Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. For three specials in a row, he was the match of the night! And the special before the Bryan match, he won the Royal Rumble! Think about that Big Show match, how many people get exciting matches out of the Big Show? Roman Reigns did. Then there's the bout he had with Bryan at Fastlane, just a fantastic pro wrestling match. As for the Mania 31 main event, it was a narrative masterpiece. Beyond all of that, there's been good tv matches with the likes of Seth Rollins and Sheamus. There's plenty to criticise about Reigns, but his in-ring portfolio this year is as good as anyone in the locker room.
