10 Better World Champion Options Than Brock Lesnar And Randy Orton
3. Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens carried Monday Night Raw in the fall of 2016 as Universal Champion while all of the booking attention was given to two part-timers in Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. He and Chris Jericho were the highlight of Raw each and every week, and arguably the only reasons to tune into the show.
Being a transitional champion during the slow periods of the wrestling booking cycle (the spring and fall) is a somewhat thankless job, but Owens went out there and made it work.
Now on SmackDown, Owens is the biggest heel on the roster, Jinder be damned. He is stuck with the United States championship at the moment, but his talents are being wasted in the upper midcard when he should be the main program. His tenure with the Universal Championship during a down period creatively should be rewarded with a WWE Championship reign.
