With the last point in mind, TNA can reap huge benefits by doing one thing that WWE currently do a terrible job of: listening to their fans.

An empowered fanbase is a loyal fanbase, and will create an enthusiastic buzz around the company that will, in turn, draw new fans in. That’s not to say Corgan & co. should place too much power in the fans’ hands, but one of WWE’s biggest problems is not responding to their fanbase’s needs, particularly with the ongoing Roman Reigns debacle. TNA can separate themselves from WWE by doing just that.

Bringing in popular talents like Cody Rhodes and Aron Rex (the former Damien Sandow) helps in that regard, but it extends further than that. TNA have driven much of their fanbase away over the years, and Corgan must look at the reasons for that and work to resolve them. That means no more pushing old talent at younger wrestlers’ expense, no more contrived gimmick matches, and no more swimming against the tide and persisting with ideas that clearly aren’t working.

People abandon WWE because they know that no matter what they have to say, the company isn’t likely to change, and such fans could find a haven in TNA if they know the company is going to listen to them. Listening to your consumers and appealing to their needs is a key part of any business’ success, and wrestling is no different.
