10 Big Improvements AEW MUST Make Before All Out

8. Fix Commentary

For many AEW fans, the bloom came off Jim Ross' rose at Fight for the Fallen.

This was the worst version of JR; the NJPW on AXS version of JR. Cranky, tired, and unprofessional, he actively undermined a product he was supposed to be putting over. Pointing out his shoot disdain for certain spots and moments makes him look out of touch. Worse is when he complains about how long things are running - a legitimate complaint if you're a fan watching at home, but if you're a legendary play-by-play announcer whose job is to sell a product? Jesus Christ.

While Ross wasn't awful, he had way too many awful moments. The same goes for the inexperienced Alex Marvez. A skilled NFL analysed he may be, but the man isn't a wrestling commentator, lacking the knowledge, sense of timing, and the right cadence to sit in this booth.

Excalibur is the exception to all this. The Pro Wrestling Guerrilla man has been exemplary as the one guy holding everything together. He needs help, and if Ross can get his sh*t together, sitting him alongside a revived Oklahoman with Fyter Fest's Goldenboy might be the solution.
