10 Big Improvements AEW MUST Make Before All Out

6. Kill The Buy In's Disconnect

Double Or Nothing and Fyter Fest demonstrated a huge disconnect between what AEW officials and the general consensus deem a pre-show to be.

While most would likely agree that these warm-ups should be used to highlight otherwise neglected wrestlers and storylines while putting forth a last-minute sales pitch for the main card, AEW's first two events didn't do that. DoN's Buy In featured a confused mess of a Casino Battle Royal and a fine-but-skippable Sammy Guevara/Kip Sabian clash. At Fyter, there was a fun three-way tag and two unfunny comedy matches. Both Buy Ins felt amateurish compared to their main cards, and worse was the lack of big show hype, with their hours large free of vignettes, promos, and shills.

Things improved at Fight for the Fallen, where AEW attempted to right some of the wrongs committed on previous shows. Showcases for Sonny Kiss and Bea Priestley felt apt as a result and Kip Sabian's pre-match promo was just as on point. This must continue heading towards All Out, where the Buy In must keep improving, lest it becoming just as hopeless as WWE's Kickoff Shows.
