10 Big Mistakes WWE Can't Afford To Make With Survivor Series 2016

1. Goldberg Wins

There’s no two ways about it: Brock Lesnar must go over Goldberg.

Yes, it’ll end Goldberg’s superhero comeback story on a disappointing note, but this is likely his last match anyway. He’s already admitted that he probably won’t compete again, and while it’d be a nice touch to let him go out on a win, WWE have to think of Lesnar’s momentum here. Losing to an ageing guest star would cripple him, and leave him in an incredibly difficult position as WWE gears-up to build towards WrestleMania 33.

Lesnar might be a part-timer himself, but he remains one of WWE’s star attractions. He’s the most threatening wrestler on the roster, one of the company’s few remaining “must see” performers, and one of their biggest draws. They can’t afford to use him to put Goldberg over, and doing so would be madness.

Brock will likely have to take a few licks en route to victory, but that’s okay. The ideal outcome would see Goldberg enjoying a decent spell of offense before falling to the Beast, and there’d be absolutely no shame in such a performance. Let Goldberg go out on his shield, end Survivor Series with Lesnar’s hand raised, and everybody wins.
